I believe that the essence of therapy is simple; a friendly, curious, and caring space, free of judgement, for you to figure out the important, confusing, or distressing issues in your life. I’m passionate about helping people better understand themselves and the world around them, and to discover and strengthen a sense of agency, self-confidence, and resilience.
Time and again I have seen how people resolve issues when they are given the time and space they need to find a way forward that works for them. My task is to support and encourage you, as you feel ready, to take the risks in therapy that are the catalyst for this positive change to occur.
I have particular interest and experience in working with existential questions, depression, anxiety, identity, meaning, relationships, self-esteem, sexuality, addiction, grief, and trauma. My academic training and postgraduate degrees in psychology and philosophy provides a platform to integrate evidence-based therapeutic modalities with insights from philosophy and ethics in order to empower people to make the best decisions for their lives.
In the last ten years, I have worked across the public and private spheres in a variety of clinical and forensic therapeutic contexts, including; residential rehabilitation, court diversion programs, transitional housing services, medical practices, and private practice.
