I am passionate about working with people affected by anxiety, stress, burnout and trauma. The work I do with all my clients is centred on creating a friendly, supportive and calm therapeutic environment.
My approach is holistic, inspired by evidence-based psychological interventions, combined with ten years of experience teaching meditation and yoga (including breath work). In particular, I have extensive training and experience in trauma-informed yoga, as influenced by the work of Dr Bessel van der Kolk and David Emerson.
My ultimate goal is to help clients create a rich and meaningful life, whilst accepting and learning to navigate the challenging thoughts and feelings which are an inevitable part of being human.
I have training and experience working with children, adolescents and adults. The therapeutic modalities which most influence my work are Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Somatic Work and Mindful Self Compassion (MSC).
