I am passionate about helping people make positive changes that shift them towards living a life that is more in line with their goals and values. I wish to help people create a life that is meaningful and fulfilling to them.
The core of my approach is to provide a warm, collaborative, and caring relationship. In doing so, I wish to provide a space in which people may reflect on their life and experiences to better understand themselves and the world around them.
In my career thus far I worked with people who have brought a broad range of different concerns to therapy, including but not limited to difficulties with emotion regulation, depression, anxiety, stress, addiction, trauma, rumination and worry, low self-esteem, and burnout. I have worked in both public and private settings including clinical and forensic contexts, and schools. I am passionate about working with older adults, adults and adolescents. My academic training allows me to ensure that my approach to therapy is informed by decades of scientific research. The therapeutic modalities which most influence my work are Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
